Introduction

The Heat Academy runs regularly online seminars as introduction to the regular training sessions. The aim at these events is to highlight the concept of decarbonising heating and cooling from different perspectives – political, financial, technical, end-user, supply chain, etc. The sessions are kept on a general level and tailored to give all potential stake holders a basic understanding of the concept of decarbonising heating and cooling – e.g. strategic options, political strategies, technologies, reference cases, financial returns, end user benefits, and the broader opportunities for communities implementing these solutions.

The introduction sessions are offered free of charge.

The online introduction seminars are organised in three different geographical regions:

Europe

North America

China

The basic structure and focus of the seminars is similar in all regions. However, the content is adjusted to the specific context of the different geographies, e.g. in terms of political structure and regulations, technical specifications and commercial conditions.

The overall ambition is however to facilitate exchange of experiences and competences between countries and regions. For this reason, the ambition is to present reference cases from all regions at every session, and to highlight differences and similarities in technologies and practices. All sessions are therefore open to all stakeholders, in whatever region they may be based.

TRAINING MODULES

The Master Class programmes are divided into separate modules. Each module consists of a series of seminars combined with more focused workshops enabling more in-depth review of specific topics. The scope and content can be adjusted to the specific needs and priorities of individual investment cases, running in parallel with the execution of a project. The basic philosophy of all Heat Academy programmes is to provide very hands-on and result oriented training services focusing on execution and completion. Whenever possible real-life reference cases will be highlighted, also involving the actual staff involved in these projects. A further aim is to apply the latest digital technologies to support training and project execution, e.g. in terms of simulation tools and project management assistance solutions.

A series of introductory sessions to the programme are offered free-of-charge. The aim of these sessions is to provide an overview of the topics addressed in the Heat Academy master class programme.
